Detached 5-Bedroom Property – Heating System Upgrade

The homeowners of this detached five-bedroom property were experiencing ongoing issues with an existing air source heat pump installed by another manufacturer, particularly around system performance and controls.

Following a recommendation, Global Energy Systems carried out a full assessment and upgraded the system by installing an 18kW Caernarfon air source heat pump, integrated with the existing gas boiler to create a hybrid (bi-valent) heating system.

The new system provides heating via underfloor heating and supplies full domestic hot water, delivering improved reliability, efficiency, and control.

Since installation, the homeowners have been accepted onto the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and have reported a significant improvement in system performance and overall satisfaction. The upgrade is expected to deliver annual savings of £2,363 compared to previous running costs.
