As part of the upgrade, Global Energy Systems provided a heating solution with bespoke metering and controls, allowing residents and housing providers to better manage energy use. The estimated annual running cost was approximately £500–£600, offering a practical and efficient alternative to the previous solid-fuel heating setup.

A rural 2-bed bungalow in Buxton was upgraded by Global Energy Systems with a London Eco Air Boiler, replacing the property’s previous storage heaters and solid-fuel heating. The installation provided a more modern and convenient heating solution for a rural home, with the external air boiler unit positioned beside the bungalow and connected to the property’s heating system. The project highlights how air boiler technology can be used as a practical alternative to older electric and solid-fuel systems, with the original case study reporting annual running costs of approximately £600–£800 per year.

This agricultural facility is heated solely by two of our 23kW Air Source Heat Pumps, providing a combined 46kW of efficient, renewable heating. The alternative would have been an oil-based system, but by choosing heat pump technology, the site has reduced its reliance on fossil fuels, avoided the need for oil storage and deliveries, and adopted a cleaner, lower-carbon heating solution. Global Energy Systems worked with a homeowner in Buckinghamshire during the renovation of their cottage to replace an outdated and costly oil boiler. The aim was to future-proof the property against rising energy costs while improving overall efficiency.
A Caernarfon air source heat pump was installed to provide full heating and domestic hot water via radiators, completely eliminating the need for fossil fuels.
The installation qualified for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), securing a £5,000 government grant towards the capital cost. In addition, the system is expected to deliver annual fuel savings of approximately £1,000.

Global Energy Systems installed three 18kW Caernarfon air source heat pumps to provide full heating for a newly built warehouse with integrated office space.
The wet heating system was designed to suit the different requirements of the building, using fan convectors within the roof space to efficiently heat the storage areas, while radiators maintain comfortable temperatures in the offices.
By choosing air source heat pumps over traditional fuel systems, the site is expected to achieve annual heating savings of approximately £6,000. In addition, the installation qualifies for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), generating around £2,500 per year for 20 years.
Combined, this delivers total estimated savings of over £8,000 per year, highlighting the strong financial and environmental benefits of the system.
Global Energy Systems was awarded this air source heat pump contract by a world leading automotive test facility in the north of England. The contract was to supply and fit a brand new wet heating system using three 70kW commercial Lincoln air source heat pumps to heat the complete facility via air to water fan convectors. The total area heated is 61,569 Sq Ft. This project was initiated due to the property having an expensive heating system that was becoming redundant.
The client was looking to future proof on energy price rises and to meet the needs of being more environmentally friendly while paying attention to the fast approaching need to try and achieve their net zero targets. The commercial property now enjoys energy savings combined with the Estimated earnings of £13,464 per year from the Government RHI
