New Build with Full Underfloor Heating – Heat Pump Solution

This 185m² new-build property, located off the mains gas grid, required an efficient and future-proof heating solution as an alternative to oil or LPG.

Global Energy Systems installed an air source heat pump to provide full heating and domestic hot water, eliminating reliance on fossil fuels and protecting the homeowner from rising energy costs.

The property benefits from underfloor heating throughout, enabling the system to operate at low flow temperatures and achieve excellent efficiency. The heat pump is fully integrated with the UFH controls and optimised using Global Energy Systems’ software to ensure efficient, responsive performance.

Even during extreme weather conditions, with temperatures as low as -13°C, the system maintained a comfortable indoor environment. During peak demand, the heat pump’s built-in booster heater provides additional support to ensure consistent heating throughout the property.

This project demonstrates how combining underfloor heating with heat pump technology can deliver a highly efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solution for modern off-grid homes.
