Chapel Conversion – Renewable Heating Solution

During the renovation and extension of this converted chapel, the owners explored renewable energy options to improve efficiency and reduce long-term running costs.

Global Energy Systems designed and installed an 18kW Caernarfon air source heat pump to meet the full heating and domestic hot water demand of the property.

The system delivers reliable, low-carbon performance and is expected to achieve annual savings of £2,286 compared to oil heating. This figure includes income from the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), for which the installation was eligible.

This project demonstrates how air source heat pumps can be effectively integrated into unique residential conversions, providing a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional heating systems.
