River House – Heating System Upgrade

The owner of this scenic riverside property was experiencing poor performance from an undersized ground source heat pump installed by another provider, which was unable to adequately heat the home.

Global Energy Systems carried out a full assessment and installed an 18kW Caernarfon air source heat pump, designed to meet the property’s full heating and domestic hot water requirements. The system provides heat via underfloor heating and radiators, ensuring consistent comfort throughout the home.

Since installation in August 2018, the homeowner has experienced a significant improvement in performance and reliability. The system is expected to deliver annual savings of £2,134 compared to previous running costs, including income from the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), for which the installation is accredited.

This project demonstrates how correctly specified air source heat pump systems can effectively resolve performance issues and deliver both efficiency and long-term cost savings.
